Assistance when you need it

We have carefully chosen the companies with which we work overseas for their ability to look after you. Should you need any assistance or information during your stay all you have to do is telephone them - in most destinations we offer 24 hour service. So if there is anything you need, just contact our local Tour Manager who will be delighted to assist you.

Unrivalled standards of service at your destination

United Travel's continuing success ensures that we can offer hotel accommodation, tours and other services at extremely competitive prices. But our real strength lies in the very close relationships we have established with our local agents in each destination. We maintain continual contact with these partners, who help us to choose the best products and services for you and enable us to exercise constant control over the quality of your holiday and travel arrangements - as well as providing unrivalled standards of services and assistance whilst you are there. Our recommended excursions and short tours, which can be booked on arrival at each destination and these tours, have been carefully chosen in conjunction with our local agents so that you may easily explore your chosen destination.

Travel Tips

Whilst you will find a wealth of information about your holiday in this brochure we also provide you with a useful destination leaflet which contains a clear, concise format, a host of useful, practical tips about the places you will be visiting - covering currency, tipping, dress code, places of interest, eating out, emergency telephone numbers and much more. Designed to fit into your ticket wallet for ease of reference, our complimentary destination leaflets will be included with your air tickets and other travel documents.

Health Check

In many countries diseases such as malaria, hepatitis, yellow fever and cholera - amongst others - are prevalent. We strongly recommend that, well in advance of travelling, you check with your doctor regarding vaccinations and preventive medicines (particularly in the case of malaria where medication should be taken before, during and for some time after your visit to a risk area) and that you take sensible precautions whilst away.

Insurance

Adequate holiday and travel insurance is vital and we strongly recommend that you obtain appropriate cover. Some of the risks you should consider include damage to or loss of personal effects and money, cancellation or curtailment of holiday, personal accident, medical expenses including hospital charges and repatriation; other travel inconvenience including delayed departure, missed connection or luggage delay. In most countries medical expenses and hospital charges are extremely high and only extreme emergency cases are treated without prior payment. Continuing treatment and non-emergency cases will usually be refused without evidence of adequate insurance or payment of a substantial deposit. Therefore it is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that you obtain appropriate holiday and travel insurance before departure.

Passport & Visa

For many countries you may need to obtain visas prior to departure. Please check with us, your travel agent or the Consulate or the respective country for details and allow sufficient time for processing the visa.
